I have been a bicycle commuter since 2007. In 2014, I attended United Bicycle Institute in Portland, Oregon, and began volunteering at several local bike non-profits (Community Cycling Center, Bike Farm, and Bikes for Humanity) and then working for a few local bike businesses (SprocketFly, Nomad Cycles PDX, Different Spokes, and The eBike Store). From 2015 to 2017, I ran Chain Reaction PDX, an earn-a-bike cooperative for clients of Central City Concern. In 2017, I took a position as Program Director at The Common Wheel in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In 2019, I went to work as a mechanic at Firehouse Bikes in Philadelphia.
In 2020, I relocated to Fort Worth, where I began working on the Wheel Nice podcast. In 2021, Wheel Nice expanded to offer bicycle repair out of the bike shop in my garage in a house I share with my partner, on the edge of Overton Park (contact for exact address). Also in 2021, we adopted a perfect puppy named Pizza Party, who is currently learning to ride a bike. It's going well!
